Chinese solar PV module manufacturer Jinko Solar recently has provided Ford Motor with 13.5 MW high-efficiency photovoltaic modules to enable clean power for the parking shed of Ford factory in Pretoria, South Africa. This is the largest photovoltaic parking shed in South Africa and Ford’s largest clean energy parking shed in the world, which consists of 31,000 piece of modules provided by Jinko Solar, covering more than 70,000 square meters, so as to generate green power. The shed will be used to park new Ford cars, which is expected to meet 30% of the power demand of the plant, reduce 15,240 tons of carbon emissions every year, and the rest of the power will also be used to power the electric vehicles in the charging station.

The Certification Department of Chinese solar PV inverter provider SOFARSOLAR recently claimed that its grid connected inverter of 75-136 kW power section successfully obtained the VDE-AR-N 4105 Certification, marking SOFARSOLAR’s dedication and strength into the R&D, highlighting the leading position of core technology in the industry. Market research company PV InfoLink recently released the ranking of module shipments in the first half of 2021, and Longi swept the top position once again. Trina Solar rose from third to second, and JA Solar, Jinko Solar and Canadian Solar ranked third, fourth and fifth respectively, Followed by Hanwha Q Cells, Risen, First Solar, Suntech and Chint. In addition, the market share of the top ten has been further improved compared with that in 2020, since under the background of rising silicon material price, the capacity scale of second-line module enterprises is difficult to compete with that of first-line enterprises, resulting in the loss of more markets.
