Huasun ranks top 1 in photovoltaics on Hurun China Renewable Energy Companies with Potential 2024

Huasun Energy has been recognized as one of the most promising companies in China’s renewable energy industry, earning a spot on the Hurun China Renewable Energy Companies with Potential 2024 list. Known for its exceptional achievements in the heterojunction (HJT) photovoltaic sector, Huasun secured 7th place overall, making it one of the two most valuable companies in the solar energy field.

The list of Hurun China Renewable Energy Companies with Potential 2024 highlights non-publicly traded Chinese companies founded after 2000, with valuations between RMB 1-15 billion, that show the greatest potential for growth. The rankings were determined based on the latest valuations from recent large-scale financing rounds.

Driving Industry Progress Through High-efficiency HJT Technology

Huasun is a technology-driven company specializing in the development and large-scale production of ultra-efficient n-type silicon-based heterojunction (HJT) solar wafers, cells, and modules. Since its founding in July 2020, Huasun has consistently pushed the boundaries of innovation, introducing advanced technologies such as zero busbar (0BB) and butyl sealant, elevating the efficiency and performance of HJT products to new heights. As the result of Huasun’s efforts, high-efficiency HJT technology has emerged as a key direction for the next generation of solar cell platforms.

Product Innovation Elevates HJT Performance

Underpinned by continuous advancements in HJT technology, Huasun Everest G12R and Himalaya G12 series solar products have consistently set new benchmarks in efficiency and power output. In September 2023, Huasun Himalaya G12-132 HJT solar module, certified by TÜV SÜD, achieved an industry-leading power output of 750.54W and a module efficiency of 24.16%.

Huasun has continued to set records in 2024, with its HJT cells reaching a new milestone in April with a champion efficiency of 26.5% in mass production.

Expanding Production Capacity to Drive Industry Growth

Huasun has strategically established advanced HJT production facilities in China’s Xuancheng, Hefei, Dali, and Wuxi, creating an integrated manufacturing system from wafers to cells to modules, with an annual production capacity of 20 GW. In June and July of this year, the C4 Workshop at Huasun Xuancheng HJT Solar Cell Factory achieved monthly outputs of 251.45 MW and 252.36 MW respectively, setting a new precedent in the HJT industry where actual production of the HJT cells has exceeded the designed capacity.

By driving technological innovation and scaling up production, Huasun has transformed HJT from a developing technology into a fully-fledged industry.

Collaborative Development for an Innovative Ecosystem

As a pioneer and leader in the HJT industry, Huasun is dedicated to advancing HJT technology and products while fostering collaboration with partners across the supply chain. The company has established “Collaborative Platform for HJT Industrial Innovation” and led the formation of “740W+ High Efficiency HJT Club” to further promote the industrialization of heterojunction technology.

As Chief Scientist of Huasun, Wang Wenjing, emphasizes, “Full industrialization requires the combined efforts of scientists, industry players, and capital worldwide. Only through the collective effort of the entire industry can we achieve this goal.”

Leading the Way in Low-Carbon Manufacturing

As N-type technology becomes mainstream in the solar industry, Huasun is committed to enhancing its technical capabilities and product performance while remaining mindful of its role in promoting clean energy. By implementing green and low-carbon practices across its manufacturing processes, including the use of silver-coated copper paste, wafer thinning, and 0BB technology, Huasun embodies the principles of sustainability.

HJT technology, known for its high efficiency and low carbon footprint, is paving the way for the future of sustainable productivity. Huasun’s dedication to eco-friendly manufacturing is evident in its TÜV Rheinland-certified HJT modules, boasting a carbon footprint as low as 366g CO2 eq/W. Future advancements are set to push emissions even lower, potentially dropping below 300g CO2 eq/W.

From wafers to cells to modules, Huasun stands as the world’s largest supplier of high-efficiency HJT products. Through its strong capabilities and industry influence, Huasun has significantly advanced the industrialization and commercialization of HJT technology.

Huasun’s inclusion in Hurun China Renewable Energy Companies with Potential 2024 is a testament to its outstanding achievements in technological innovation, product development, and industrialization, as well as the markets recognition of its future potential. Moving forward, Huasun will continue to drive global energy transition towards a low-carbon future, contributing to the creation of a greener and more sustainable world.
