Jinko wins 300MW solar power project in Saudi Arabia

On Monday, Jinko Power Technology said in a stock exchange statement that the company has secured a 300MW solar power project under the third round of Saudi Arabia’s National Renewable Energy Programme (NREP). The total investment would be about US $209 million.


The project is located in the Saad area 85 kilometers east to the kingdom’s capital Riyadh with abundant sunshine.

The Build-Own-Operate project is expected to have a construction period of 24 months and an operation period of 30 years.

The total installed capacity will be about 348.8 MWp, with the winning LCOE of 5.5626 halalas/kWh.

The project is expected to generate an average of 876 million kWh per year upon completion.
