on March 31, oriental sunrise and Malaysia’s leading energy and infrastructure company Gebeng Energy formally signed a memorandum of cooperation. the two sides will work together to jointly develop CRESS 500MW photovoltaic and supporting energy storage projects in Kedah state, injecting strong impetus into Malaysia’s renewable energy development and net zero carbon emission targets.
This cooperation is a strategic cooperation between the two sides based on a common vision and complementary advantages. Gebeng Energy is at the heart of Malaysia’s clean energy transition with its outstanding capabilities in the development, management and delivery of large-scale power and renewable energy projects. Dongfang Sunrise will give full play to its technological leadership in the field of photovoltaic and energy storage to provide core products and solutions for the project.
According to the agreement, the project all uses Oriental Sunrise’s high-efficiency heterojunction Fuxi series components and energy storage products. Dongfang Sunrise’s optical storage integrated solution breaks through the limitations of single-point technology, through the vertical integration of components, inverters, energy storage systems and intelligent energy management platform, through the “source, network, load, storage” full chain closed loop, to build a new energy system-level collaborative ecology. This advanced solution will provide safe, stable and green power protection for enterprises and data centers in Malaysia and other users with high energy consumption and high stability needs, effectively solving their energy cost and carbon emission challenges.
This signing is another important milestone for Oriental Sunrise to continue its deep cultivation in the Malaysian market. Prior to this, Oriental Sunrise has successfully landed many benchmark projects with many local partners, covering Kedah, Penang, Johor and other regions.
