On April 1, the water conveyance system project of Pankou Pumped Storage Power Station completed the special acceptance of the lower gate and retaining water.
during the acceptance period, the expert group went deep into the construction site, carefully inspected the core key parts such as the upper reservoir water diversion, water retaining buildings and gate opening and closing equipment, focused on checking the quality of the project entity, the layout of safety monitoring facilities and data collection, and conducted high-standard inspection and professional inquiries on the lower gate water filling scheme and emergency disposal plan. After several rounds of rigorous review, the acceptance committee reached a consistent conclusion: all the indexes of the buildings at the inlet and outlet of the water conveyance system of Pankou Pumped Storage Power Station meet the requirements for water blocking at the lower gate. After passing the acceptance, the lower gate can be selected for water blocking.
Pankou Pumped Storage Power Station is located in Zhushan County, Hubei Province. It is planned to achieve the target of putting two units into operation by the end of December. After the completion of the power station, the annual power generation capacity can reach 0.28 billion kwh, saving about 96000 tons of coal consumption in the system every year, which can effectively alleviate the pressure of peak regulation in Northwest Hubei power grid, help the consumption of new energy and the optimization of power grid structure, and have far-reaching significance for regional energy conservation, emission reduction and green sustainable development.
