in may 2025, Yunnan will take the lead in the country to realize the free transfer of existing conventional hydropower green certificates. up to now, the cumulative number of “free” green certificates transferred has exceeded 0.243 billion, directly benefiting 71800 household electricity enterprises. Recently, the “Yunnan Province stock of conventional hydropower green certificate transfer program (trial)” was officially issued. Through this transfer mechanism, Yunnan is expected to transfer more than 0.1 billion green cards to electricity consumption enterprises in the province free of charge each year, equivalent to more than 100 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity.
