Leascend Photovoltaic Achieves International Advanced Certification on 0BB HJT Project

Recently, the “Research, Development, and Application of Low-Cost, High-Power HJT 0BB Solar Cells and Modules” project, led by Leascend Photovoltaic and co-developed with Southwest Petroleum University, successfully passed scientific and technological achievement appraisal. The evaluation was meticulously organized by the Sichuan Provincial Science and Technology Collaborative Innovation Promotion Association, with experts from prestigious institutions such as Sichuan University, Southwest Jiaotong University, and Sichuan Normal University participating in the appraisal meeting.

Following a rigorous, detailed, and efficient evaluation process—including documentation review, on-site presentations, and Q&A sessions—the expert panel comprehensively assessed the project’s achievements across multiple dimensions, including technological innovation, application value, and industry impact.

The attending experts unanimously praised the project’s outcomes, with the appraisal committee ultimately concluding that the project had reached “internationally advanced standards.”

This certification marks a significant breakthrough for Leascend Photovoltaic in the field of heterojunction (HJT) cells and modules, offering a novel innovation model for the industry’s technological advancement.

During the project’s R&D phase, Leascend Photovoltaic successfully overcame multiple technical challenges, including difficulties in achieving large-chamber microcrystallization and uniformity at the cell level, low efficiency and oxidation susceptibility of low-silver electrodes, as well as challenges in welding main grid-free cells and high material costs at the module level.

The company achieved high-crystallization-rate deposition technology under GW-scale large-chamber conditions, developed silver-coated copper paste with an ultra-low silver content of 20%, and realized highly reliable applications for main grid-free cells.

By integrating the company’s independently developed “Xinglian” main grid-free module interconnection technology suite, the module’s power output reached 781.97W (3.1 m²).

This achievement not only underscores Leascend Photovoltaic’s technological prowess but also positions the company as a leader in driving industry-wide innovation in HJT technology.
