The government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region recently released the List of the Major Demonstration Project of New Energy Equipment Technology Innovation in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in 2023. Among them, research and demonstration application of key technologies for full sequence efficiency improvement and cost reduction of high-efficiency N-type mono crystalline silicon rod and silicon wafer products was invested with RMB 10 million.

Research content:

Based on the opportunity of the current transformation and upgrading of photovoltaic cell modules from P-type to N-type and the advantages of N-type cell conversion efficiency, the government will carry out research on the full sequence efficiency improvement and cost reduction technology for N-type high-efficiency mono crystalline silicon rods and wafers, with a focus on the development of thermal fields in ultra large mono crystalline furnaces, design and promotion of low energy thermal fields, research on N-type ultra-low oxygen technology, R&D of diamond wire fine line and slicing processes, and achieve technological breakthroughs, forming industrial demonstration applications.

Focusing on the key technology of improving efficiency and reducing costs in the full sequence of large-sized N-type mono crystalline silicon wafers, they will focus on the design and development of ultra large thermal fields, make breakthrough on the development and application of 37 inch ultra large thermal fields, and the single furnace feeding rate of 4-5t technology. They’ll also redesign the thermal field system and optimizing the crystallization process, to achieve demonstration application of low-power thermal field systems, as well as the research on hypoxia technology, ultrafine diamond wire and its slicing process.
