East Sichuan Liquefaction Signed 100MW/300MWh User Side Energy Storage Power Station with Huayong Zhidian

In the context of energy transformation and the in-depth advancement of the “carbon peak, carbon neutral” strategy, industrial and commercial user-side energy storage is becoming a key part of building a new power system, optimizing energy structure, and reducing energy costs. The project adopts the industry-leading “contract energy management (EMC)” mode to promote cooperation: East Sichuan Liquefaction, as the energy user, provides the site required for project construction and reliable power grid access conditions free of charge; Huayong Zhidian, as the investor and operator, undertakes all the capital investment, system integration construction and full-cycle operation and maintenance responsibilities for more than 15 years. After the project is completed and put into operation, it will rely on the advanced energy management system to implement intelligent operation strategies such as “peak use of valley electricity” and “demand management”. While effectively smoothing the power load curve of liquefaction production in eastern Sichuan, it will achieve significant peak cutting and valley filling benefits, directly reduce the power consumption cost of enterprises, and improve the fine management level of power use and overall energy economic benefits.

The contract clearly stipulates that during the 15-year cooperation period, the two parties will, based on the principle of mutual trust and win-win, give priority to the expansion of energy storage on the user side, distributed photovoltaic development, direct trading of green power, energy efficiency improvement management and even carbon asset development, etc. In-depth collaboration and cooperation in a wider range of new energy and energy conservation and environmental protection fields, the aim is to jointly create a reproducible and scalable smart energy system and low-carbon ecological model for large-scale industrial enterprises.

According to the core terms of the contract, the project is designed for a benefit-sharing period of up to 15 years (180 months in total). During this period, the two parties will share the energy-saving benefits generated by the actual operation of the energy storage power station and confirmed by both parties according to the agreed proportion. This long-term and deep binding benefit sharing mechanism ensures that the goals of both parties are highly consistent, and can form a joint force to work together to improve the operating efficiency and stability of the power station, and maximize the economic value and environmental value of the project throughout the life cycle.
