According to introduction, the project aims at the No.1 and No.2 units of Donglin power plant, and applies the new energy storage system to carry out the auxiliary service of automatic power generation control and frequency modulation of power grid in combination with thermal power units. The total installed capacity of the project is 20000 kW/6680 kWh, which consists of 4 5000 kW/1670 kW-hour lithium titanate battery compartments, 4 5000 kW variable flow and boost integrated compartments and supporting electrical equipment. The project innovates and selects the technical route of lithium titanate battery, which has the advantages of high safety and reliability, long cycle life, fast charge and discharge speed, etc., and can accurately adapt to the working conditions of the thermal power unit FM.
After the project is put into operation, the energy storage system and the thermal power unit jointly respond to the power grid automatic power generation control dispatch command, which shortens the response time of the thermal power unit, improves the adjustment rate and accuracy, and improves the comprehensive performance of frequency modulation. The rapid response of energy storage system and thermal power units can not only meet the demand of power dispatching in the region, but also help to reduce the coal consumption level of thermal power units and improve the efficiency of energy saving and emission reduction.
