The salt cave compressed air energy storage project fully revitalized the surplus salt cave resources in Yingcheng Shuanghuan area, promoted the efficient storage and flexible allocation of electric energy, and created a “super green charging treasure” for the power grid “. The two major projects work together from the direct supply of green electricity and the new energy storage to realize the coupling of new energy supply and industrial energy load, and create a replicable and popularized demonstration model for the green transformation of chemical parks.

During the inspection, Hu Hongwei fully affirmed the forward-looking layout and overall planning of the research project. He pointed out that these projects have innovatively laid out green energy frontier tracks such as hydrogen energy, green power direct connection and new energy storage, and explored development models with regional characteristics, such as the integration of “source network, load and storage” and the development and utilization of geological resources. the project has remarkable ecological benefits and outstanding industry demonstration, which is highly consistent with the investment direction and development concept of the national green development fund. The two sides carried out in-depth exchanges on deepening all-round cooperation in the green industry, and agreed that they would take this investigation and research as an opportunity to strengthen the docking of industrial investment, technological innovation, model promotion and other fields, actively explore new paths for coordinated development between central and local governments, and work together to help the green, low-carbon and high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
