Premier Energies puts into production a 5.6GW component plant in India with a total capacity of more than 11GW.

Indian photovoltaic manufacturer Premier Energies announced Limited that its 5.6GW TOPCon photovoltaic module plant in telangana has been officially put into operation and started trial production. The plant uses a highly automated production line and no main grid (OBB) technology, which has increased the group’s total component operating capacity to 11.1GW.

Solar manufacturing

The plant is operated by Premier Energies Global Environment Private Limited, a subsidiary of the Group’s Premier Energies, and is located in Seetharampur, in the Ranga Reddy District. The company’s management stated that the plant is equipped with one of the most advanced automated component production lines in India, and can use the main grid-free (OBB) technology to offline 4 G12R TOPCon high-efficiency components every 16 seconds.

At the beginning of this year, the company put into operation a 400MW solar cell plant in Trangana to produce 0BB batteries.

In May last year, the company announced a joint venture with Taiwanese corporate Sino-American Silicon Products Inc (SAS) to enter the field of solar wafer manufacturing.
