On March 27, Jiuyao (Alxa) New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. officially started the whole industry chain equipment manufacturing base of vanadium redox flow battery in the Zero Carbon Industrial Park of Alxa High-tech Industrial Development Zone, which is the first large-scale energy storage equipment manufacturing project of Alxa League.
The project started this time has a total investment of 3.2 billion yuan and has been steadily promoted in two phases, after completion, the production capacity of 3GW/12GWh all-vanadium liquid flow battery energy storage system will be formed, and the scale will be among the forefront of similar projects in China.
Different from the single layout of conventional energy storage projects, the base takes the “whole industry chain” route, from core materials (vanadium electrolyte), key components (stack, bipolar plate, ion exchange membrane) to the final system integration, realizing the whole process of independent manufacturing, truly breaking the barriers of all links in the industrial chain, and greatly improving the core competitiveness of the project.
Lu Yanchuan, chairman of Jiuyao New Energy, said that the biggest advantages of the project products are high safety, long life, high efficiency and flexibility. They are not only non-flammable, non-explosive, non-runaway risk, and have a cycle life of more than 10000 times. Theoretically, they can be used for 15-20 years, far exceeding traditional lithium batteries.
relying on the rich local wind power and photovoltaic resources, a large number of local green electricity will be used in the production process of the project. after completion, the green electricity will be able to consume more than 0.3 billion kilowatt hours per year, which not only realizes low-carbon manufacturing, but also effectively solves the problem of grid-connected wind and new energy, and helps the construction of zero-carbon park to speed up.
