according to the news of state power investment green energy co., ltd., the world’s largest single green ammonia project-state power investment Jilin daan scenery green hydrogen synthetic ammonia integration demonstration project, this is the latest data disclosed by state power investment at the first press conference held in 2026 recently.
according to public information, daan scenery green hydrogen synthesis ammonia integration demonstration project (hereinafter referred to as daan project) is the “hydrogen Jilin” action start-up project and the national electricity investment green hydrogen benchmark project.
the project pioneered the whole industrial chain design idea of green hydrogen consumption, green electricity consumption, green ammonia consumption, and integration of source, network, load and storage. through the development of “green electricity” by scenery, the production of “green hydrogen” by electrolyzing water, and the synthesis of “green ammonia” with nitrogen, 32000 tons of green hydrogen and 180000 tons of green ammonia are produced annually, which was officially put into production on July 26, 2025.

In August 2025, the project was selected into the first batch of green liquid fuel technology research and industrialization pilot projects of the National Energy Administration. In October of the same year, the first phase of the project officially passed the international sustainable development and carbon certification system (ISCC EU) audit, and was awarded the world’s first “non biological renewable fuel ammonia” certification.
