In 2017, the Dutch government carried out the supporting plan for Stimulering Duurzame Energie (SDE +) competitive bidding to support photovoltaic development with its full potential, and it is estimated that it will render a photovoltaic subsidy budget of €5 billion in 2022. Stimulated by this policy, the photovoltaic market in the Netherlands will have rapid development in recent years. According to the Statistics Netherlands: in 2017, the newly installed photovoltaic capacity in the Netherlands was only 853MW, newly added 1.69GW in 2018, newly added 2.57GW in 2019, newly installed capacity of 2.93GW in 2020 and reaching a record of 3.3GW in 2021, the photovoltaic energy accounts for up to 80% of energy. Based on the prediction of BloombergNEF, the newly installed capacity in the Netherlands will reach 4GW in 2022, and it will become one of the global GW markets.
